A while ago I met Pieter and Annine for their engagement shoot (if you missed it, have a look here) and as cold as the day of their e-shoot was, their wedding day dawned lovely and hot! In true highveld form some clouds built up and threatened to rain, but as suddenly as they appeared they drifted off into the distance and we were blessed with a gorgeous day.
The two tied the knot at the lovely Oxbow Country Estate just east of Pretoria and with the weather fine and warm they could exchange vows under a lovely big willow tree down by one of the dams. It was magical – Annine looked like the perfect blushing bride in her lovely dress and Pieter looked dashing too, and from the moment she stepped up to him one could not wipe the smiles of their faces! Their vows were honest and heartfelt and when Annine closed the ceremony with a song I had shivers down my spine!
Their exuberance was evident in their shoot with me – they laughed and were such sports – everytime I found a place to photograph at it seemed to be on the other side of some sort of obstacle and Pieter gallantly picked Annine up and whisked her over and we would continue on our merry way!
What a privilege to share this special day with you two – I had such a blast. You are truly a special couple and I know you will have a special life full of laughs and great memories together. Thank you for making my job so easy!!
