When I met Lynn and David for the first time I was really struck by what a gorgeous down-to-earth couple they were. I am very sure Lynn turns heads just about anywhere she goes!
Lynn was inspired by Alice in Wonderland and I loved the little details she used to make her day very unique. They decided to have an intimate wedding and fell in love with Josephine’s Tea Room – the black and white checkered tiles, the old-wordly feel and stunning garden fit in perfectly with her vision. The welcome drinks were tiny bottles with tags reading ‘drink me’, the table numbers were cards with Alice in Wonderland characters, little wooden white rabbits dotted the garden here and there – and the best of all – a dress inspired by Alice’s…Lynn looked like a fairytale princess!
As fate would have it – after an incredibly hot week in Pretoria – the day dawned cold and overcast and we were a little worried that her morning wedding outside would have to be moved indoors, but the weather held and the couple could tie the knot just as planned – surrounded by their closest family and friends.
I’m falling in love with weddings – I adore the little memorable moments – like when Lynn came down from her room to go to the venue and the guesthouse staff saw her – and when they were signing registers and David was telling her how gorgeous she looked and the moments when I could just see him staring at her… I just really enjoy it!
I loved every minute of this wedding and as I’m having trouble deciding on what to blog and what not to blog, its turning into a really loooong post, so I’m dividing it into two posts…this is part 1 – look out for part 2 soon!
