Loving Ian | Pretoria Newborn Photographer

April 24, 2012

I know, I know – I’ve been quiet on the blog!  Our holiday is creeping closer (t – 3 days!) and I’m working hard on editing as many shoots as humanly possible before then.  But enough about me – let’s chat about Ian!

Magdaleen phoned me a couple of weeks ago to book a newborn session for her brand new baby boy.  Ian had just come out of ICU and I was a bit worried that we might have difficulty doing poses, so we decided on more of a lifestyle approach.  The day arrived and I packed my props – it all felt a bit funny as we had just moved and I was getting used to my new setup and space.

I arrived at their house and was pleasantly surprised – Magdaleen had gone shopping for her newborn session and had some wonderful ideas and textured items we could use – it made it a lot of fun for me as I could play with new props!  Furthermore I was totally enthralled by little Ian – he is such a tiny little bundle of joy, with reddish blonde hair that made me smile silly all throughout our session.  He turned out to be the easiest little man – sleepy and gorgeous and perfect.  Mom is also such a beautiful lady and had dressed in turquiose, so we ended up with a shoot mainly in brown and turquoise – something we didn’t plan, but it just worked out so well!

In the end we could get some sleepy poses, some lovely lifestyle shots of mom and son and I would love to share them with you!

I hope you enjoy them!
