So – remember my best friend Lize whose engagement shoot I posted a while ago (check it out here if you missed it)? Well – she married her soulmate earlier this month in a lovely ceremony held at Oakfield Farm in their Summerhouse.
The day dawned warm and free of clouds, the grass greener than one can imagine is possible, the sky bluer than it should be and as we listened to the call of the peacocks we started getting ready for the big event. This was a big one for me – not only was my bestest friend getting married, but I was to be photographer and Maid of Honour! I need to mention here that I could not have pulled it off without my friend and second shooter Colette – she was awesome!! So – the crazy in the turquoise – thats me!
Anyway – to get back to Lize and Wesley… This whole wedding was organised in two months. Yup – you read it – two months. It was one of the loveliest weddings I’ve ever been to – the details and table decorations were exquisite, the candy buffet was gorgeous, the bride looked stunning and the magic between Lize and Wesley tangible. Except for a storm that quickly passed (and gave me reason to wear my gumboots rather than heels for most of the evening!) everything was perfect. The rain made everything look even more ridiculously green and it was such a pleasure to photograph their couple photos among the lush gardens. They smiled and laughed and looked so in love – how fantastic to see my friend so happy!!
Well – instead of me going on a tangent – here are the photos…what a very special day! Thank you Lize and Wesley for allowing me to capture this special memory. Love you both lots!
