A while ago I posted Henk and Marina’s fun urban engagement shoot – if you missed it have a look here.
To photograph this wedding was really special to me as Henk is one of my brother’s childhood friends – a fact I only discovered after booking the wedding as I was chatting to Marina all along! This also meant that I got to spend a whole evening doing ‘weddingy’ things with my brother as he turned out to be MC! What a small world it is!!
Marina and Henk got dressed at the lovely Purple Trumpet Guesthouse just around the corner from the Country Club and this was also the setting for some of their photos – providing us with a nice variety between urban indoor photos and a little bit of late autumn colour from the club itself. I love when I get the opportunity to play around a bit!! Marina and Henk have a lot of fun-loving friends and this meant that the start of the session was everything but boring – they were all laughing. making jokes and fooling (or should I say hanging?) around – an essential bit of the big day fun!
I adore the big chandelier that cast its magical light over the proceedings during the evening and especially enjoyed the couple opening the dance floor on a very catchy tune – I will have to confirm what it was to get it for my playlist! Their big day ended with a big party and as I said my goodbyes to the happy couple I could see things were really starting to warm up on the dance floor. What a fabulous way to start a life together!!
Thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of your big day – it was a really special occasion for me and I just know you two are absolutely perfect together!
