When I met Andrea and Alex over a coffee before their wedding two things really struck me – firstly Andrea and Alex’s wedding was going to be different and completely non-traditional, and secondly Andrea already knew exactly what she had in mind for every moment of her wedding and was going to make it happen!
So, on a bit of a windy morning in September Andrea and Alex tied the knot in an intimate ceremony held at Lombardy Boutique Hotel – Andrea planned a lot of time for her bridal portraits before the ceremony, and we had so much fun just playing around. She looked absolutely gorgeous in her classic lace dress…I think when Alex saw her she completely took his breath away!
Andrea planned her wedding as a black-and-white affair and even the guests were wearing black and white. Instead of confetti they released black and white balloons into the overcast morning sky and after some congratulatory hugs everyone got together in the elegantly decorated dining room for lunch. Andrea even did all the decor herself and I was astounded at the amazing details – she truly thought of everything!
I will confess that I was one happy photographer on the day – after all the guests had gone we had ample time during sunset to do their couple photos. It was so relaxing and we just had a blast! Thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of your big day – you guys are such a gorgeous couple!
Here they are – a glimpse at Andrea and Alex’s stylish black-and-white wedding…
